Why Does My Leg And Arm Ache

faith must grow

Among good Catholic is a tendency, in matters of faith are all now have 100 percent to do. Alas, a priest says something that in their opinion does not correspond entirely to the teaching of the Church ! Then letters are written to the priest, perhaps equal to the bishop or even to the pope. Some people go to really hunt for alleged heresies.

Let's look to our own heart: What does the reality? Do we want full knowledge of faith? We do not grow rather slowly in the knowledge of faith in, even as a priest? God leads us step by step in faith and in knowledge the truth of faith. Of which today speaks the gospel: Jesus heals a blind man in two stages. This urges us to understand our momentary knowledge of faith as a small part of the infinite truth of God, it reminds us to be cautious when another says something that is not my understanding of faith: Maybe this man still on the way to the realization that I own Perhaps he is also ahead of me.

We have the knowledge of faith can continue forever. We will never come to an end. Let's look at the Gospel: They came to Bethsaida. Since they brought a blind man to Jesus and asked him to let him touch it. He took the blind man by the hand, led him to go outside the village, rubbed his eyes with saliva, he laid his hands and asked him: Do you see anything? The man looked up and said, "I see people, because I see something that looks like trees and walking around.

Then he laid his hands on his eyes again, and now the man saw clearly. He was healed and could see everything very well. (Mk 8.22-26)

The disciples of Jesus have known for some time. They have seen miracles: he has wine into water, several thousand people, he and a few loaves and fishes made sick he healed the sick, the blind made to see, but they still seem not to understand who he is. The disciples are blind to the reality in which they are placed. It is difficult to see them bring. It is difficult to lead them to faith. Perhaps that is why the healing of the blind is described in such detail.

is clear in this healing narrative, especially with the duplicate imposition of hands: that the finding of Jesus, seeing in faith, represents a growth process that only gradually reach their objective. If the healed first says: I see people because I see something that looks like trees and walking around , he received a first orientation, a first light, but not yet the desired clarity. But even this he will be paid if he can touch further from Jesus.
