Fruit And Vegetable Arrangment Games

reunification 2010 - Cyprus

preparing my tweets from the Cyprus-evening at the Foreign Office (Berlin) on 8 December 2009:

It begins with a song of Cyprus, guitar and vocals. In the audience some Cypriots, officials of the Foreign Office.

On the panel: Prof. Heinz Richter, who wrote of "the new standard work on the history of Cyprus (the island's history Cyprus 1878-1977). Asked by Klaus Hillenbrand, taz.

Judge: Inner Turkish military versus political power struggle, the latter large business holding company that would lose their privileges in the EU.

Judge: military will make sure that are in EU report on Cyprus would not be a negative thing to have in the EU.

Hillenbrand: Some EU officials would like to get out of Cyprus EU.
Judge: EU Formally part of the occupied by Turkey. Problem that in Cypriots. Reunion turkish troops would be in EU.

Judge: Both parts of Cyprus are significantly Europeanized than Turkey and Greece.
Hillenbrand: In immigrants from Turkey are very often wear headscarves. Judge: clientelism returned.

Judge: immigrant problem that cut themselves on the land. Would zypriotisierbar if reunification. Would you feel comfortable.

Richter: Briten würden angeblich bei Lösung eine der Militärbasen auf Zypern aufgeben. Deren Bedeutung sei weit geringer als in Kaltem Krieg.

Mein Fazit vom Zypern-Abend: Wiedervereinigung 2010 gut möglich. Wenn die Türken wollen.
